Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to share with the management team any impact to ACMEIron of issuing dividends on company stock. As ACME Iron evaluates where they are in the business cycle, it is important to note companies that typically offer dividends are most often companies that have progressed beyond the growth phase, and no longer benefit sufficiently by reinvesting their profits, so they usually choose to pay them out to their shareholders (InvestorWords, 2017). Within the discussion and analysis, we will also look at the impact dividends have on both stock market prices and financial statements. Finally, we will use the income statement and balance sheet to make a recommendation on a dividend strategy for ACME Iron.
